Finn
Age 14. Merhaven's best young sailor. Finn spent a year in Paris away from the sea, and coming home to the harbour was like breathing again. He's competitive and determined, but the fight to save the lighthouse taught him that some things matter more than winning. He organised the winter solstice vigil, when two hundred people stood on the cliff top with lanterns and kept watch through the longest night.

A small wooden boat he sails with his dad. He knows every cove and current along the Merhaven coast — and every safe anchorage.

Sailing
Finn can handle a boat in almost any weather. When the storm hit and the fishing boat was in trouble, he was the one who braved the rocks to guide them in.
Spotting trouble
He noticed the break-in at the lighthouse from his bedroom window — the flashlights moving inside the tower at two in the morning.
Determination
Finn trained hard for the regatta all year — but he'd drop everything to help the campaign save the lighthouse.
